If all the the others are 10 MB and the 'new' one is 10/100 MB.)Įven better would be if you had a line analyzer and could check to see if there was more retries or packet corruption with this system on the network.

Many times when a new workstation seems to be causing problems on a network, the first thing to do is change out the network card - especially if it's a different manufacturer from the others on the network. Am incercat sa instalez FoxPro for Windows pe un laptop cu Windows 7 si imi da eroare, spune ca nu se poate pe calculator cu acest sitem de operare. Does the network have an internet connection that would prevent you from running TCP/IP exclusively? (N/A) am un numar mare de programe functionale scrise sub FoxPro for Windows (2.6). FoxPro 2.6 worked on Mac OS, DOS, Windows. It is not included with MDAC 2.7 or Windows XP.

Where can I obtain the Microsoft Visual FoxPro ODBC driver A4: The Visual Fox Pro ODBC driver is included in Visual FoxPro, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Office 2000, and MDAC 2.5. Fox Technologies merged with Microsoft in 1992, after which the software acquired further features and the prefix 'Visual'. Q4: My application requires the Microsoft Visual FoxPro ODBC driver, but this driver is not included in MDAC 2.6. It was derived from FoxPro (originally known as FoxBASE) which was developed by Fox Software beginning in 1984. While I not a "network" guy, what protocols have you got installed / are you running on this peer-to-peer network? I know that the fewer that are running at the same time the better. Visual FoxPro was a Microsoft data-centric procedural programming language that subsequently became object-oriented. It works fine, but it runs in a small DOS emulation( (I suppose) screen. How much memory is on the typical workstation? I am using FPD 2.6 in Windows XP Professional SP 2. As a "file server", 128 mb maybe a bit less than really desirable.

What speed does this run (compared to the XP system) - it may not be able to "keep up" with the requests if being hit by many workstations. Actually the "updates and hotfixes" I was referring to, were those available for the server (Win98) system.
